B4 Mount & Advanced Lens Support
The 2/3-type bayonet mount accepts standard 2/3" lenses without an external adaptor. The specially designed internal optics maximise incident light on the large sensor for outstanding image quality. Additional features include a 2x digital extender, built-in optical ND filters, Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC), and comprehensive focus assist tools (Focus Bar, Focus-in-Red, MAG, and Focus Square) for quick, accurate focusing — even with auto-focus or digital lenses.
Long-Distance Optical Fibre Transmission
Uncompressed HD video signals can be transmitted up to approximately 1.2 km when powered by the AK-HCU250 Camera Control Unit. Extend transmission distance to 10 km using an external power supply and general-purpose optical equipment. The system also supports IP control via LAN and video TRUNK functions for flexible multi-camera setups combining studio and PTZ cameras.
ST 2110 Upgrade Support without CCU
Using the optional AK-SFC391 software key (sold separately), the AK-HC3900GSJ transmits broadcast-grade uncompressed HD video directly over IP with low latency — no CCU required. It supports ST 2110 return video, reference (PTP), TRUNK, prompter, and IP intercom. This upgrade enables seamless integration with the IT/IP platform KAIROS, dramatically reducing space, cabling, and power consumption (up to 60 % savings in multi-camera operations).
4K Upgrade Support
The optional AK-HUC01 4K/12G-SDI Interface Kit adds true 4K output (2160/59.94p, 50p, etc.) with 2000 TV-line horizontal/vertical resolution. It supports HDR, BT.2020 colour space, and flexible interfaces including 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI Quad Link. Simultaneous 4K/HDR/BT.2020 and HD/SDR/BT.709 output is possible, perfect for hybrid production environments.
